One of the responses to our resident's survey was the very poor standard of maintenance in Aberfeldy graveyard (pics below). The issue ws taken to the council and in less than a week, all the trees and weeds between the gravestones have been cleared away, the grass mown properly and the whole place looks a lot better.

Should we be concerned? Surely the purpose of a graveyard is not only a place where we bury our parents, but a place where we remember them and that a part of that process is to allow the memory to decay.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if the people for whom Aberfeldy graveyard means something want it to be changed then they are the ones that should change it.
I don't see where the council comes in?
